Description:

1st Printing. Signed. 1 pages. Published in 1993. Rare Viggo Mortensen collectible item. A fine copy of his very first recording, "Don't Tell Me What To Do" (1993), signed by Viggo Mortensen. There is no ISBN. The CD is now rare. Presents Viggo Mortensen's "Don't Tell Me What To Do". His debut recording. Recorded live during a broadcast on KCRW 89.9 FM. Mortensen then re-mixed and released it himself, creating even the photographs on the front and back covers of the album. A little-known fact about Viggo Mortensen is that he was a poet and a musician long before he became a global film actor/movie star. While living in obscurity as such, he was married to the legendary Christine Cervenka ("Exene"), an American singer, artist, and poet, best-known for being the lead singer of the Los Angeles punk rock band "X". Mortensen still considers himself a poet/writer and visual artist by calling, a film actor and leading man by accident and necessity. Nothing wrong with having good looks and being very lucky. In his case, there is also no need to demarcate between his two distinct roles because "The Lord of The Rings" notwithstanding, Viggo will be regarded by posterity as both: A remarkable artist and a great actor. For those who have everything else by him. An absolute collectible, not just memorabilia, item for Viggo Mortensen collectors. This copy of the Compact Disc (CD) is very prominently and beautifully signed and inscribed in front by the artist: "Thanks, Sean - Viggo". This title is a contemporary classic. As far as we know, this is the only such signed and inscribed copy of "Don't Tell Me What To Do" available online and has no flaws, a pristine beauty. A rare signed copy thus. One of the most brilliant American artist/writer/performers of our time. A fine copy. Bookseller Inventory # 19272
