About the Author: To assure a true sense of realism, the character of Jake Oliver nearly parallels that of Stanton Jacobs' own career with over 26 years working in the lodging and hospitality industry. Throughout his career he has encountered many unique challenges and unexpected mysteries at each of the hotels and resorts that he has managed across the country. This is his first novel and his objective is for the reader to identify with the main character, Jake Oliver, as well as the colorful characters Jake works with that will appear in future books he plans to publish. Stanton Jacobs grew up in Indiana the oldest of four children. He began his career in hospitality in 1977 working for the Indiana University Conference Bureau, while obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Indiana University School of Business in Marketing Advertising and Business Administration.
