Description:

Vintage original 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm.) black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. Sylvia Sidney, Oskar Homolka, Desmond Tester, John Loder, dir: Alfred Hitchcock, Gaumont British Pictures. Based on the Joseph Conrad novel "The Secret Agent", this was one of Hitchcock's most suspenseful pre-Hollywood films. American star Sylvia Sidney ventured to England to make the film with an international cast. It told the story of an undercover detective trailing a saboteur who is going to set off a bomb in London. Still M66-82 features Oskar Homolka and -- according to the blurb typed on the back of the still -- Paul Drewhurst. There is one minor edge tear towards bottom right side at the blank white margin only. ABOUT FINE. Bookseller Inventory # 10532
