About the Book

Bibliographic Details

Title: Woman's Work In The Civil War; A Record Of ...

Publisher: Zeigler, McCurdy and Co.

Publication Date: 1867

Binding: Hardcover

Book Condition: Very Good

Edition: First Edition.

First Printing. 799 pages. Sixteen steel engravings (all with tissue guards). Absolutely tight and square. The boards and spine are sharply blindstamped, and the gilt is bright (though partially mottled at upper spine). One small area of wear on spine edge, and several small scuffs with mottling at the upper portion. These are cataloged as a prelude to the statement that this is an otherwise beautiful copy. The points have only the mildest of wear. Any foxing is minor. This is a compilation of Women's stories who ministered to the Union sick and wounded during the Civil War.
