Synopsis:
Luigi Ontani's art is an expression of a life devoted in large part to the fictions of fantasy. His staged photographs place him among the pioneers of self-representation, and his large drawings originated alongside the artists of the 'transvanguardia.' his eclectic oeuvre includes handcrafted masks, collaborations with artists in India and Indonesia, experiments with the Venetian art glass-blowing, and life-sized paper-mache figures. The numerous works collected in this monograph range from simple drawings and texts to documentations of complicated installations.
