In this publication, all the graphic works of Ian Hamilton Finlay from 1963 to the present are made accessible to the public for the first time in a catalogue raisonne. Since the artist seldom signs or numbers the prints in his limited editions, this catalogue or "bibliography" represents an indispensable reference work for museums and collectors. Pia Simig, longstanding assistant to the artist, has systematically catalogued the numerous and wide-ranging graphic works. Rosemarie E. Pahlke gives an overview of Finlay's work as a whole, provides information on his artistic methods, and traces the significance of the works on paper within his oeuvre.
