Piero Manzoni (1933-63) was one of the most radical and innovative artistic personalities of the sixties, and one of Italy's most profoundly confrontational artists. Manzoni, whose performances and conceptual stunts challenged traditional bourgeois notions of art, is given his most complete retrospective in this book. Published on the occasion of an exhibition at London's Serpentine Gallery, the book both documents the artist's entire career and features essays about Manzoni's contribution and relevance to contemporary art.
