Synopsis:
This book presents the works of six German artists -- Claus Brunsman, Brigitte Dams, Ursula Habermacher, Barbel Schulte Kellinghaus, Chritiane Lohr, Sandra Voets -- who are students of the Dusseldorf Arts Academy, and who took classes from the well-known artist Jannis Kounellis. The curator Marco Meneguzzo theorizes that the avant-garde milieu of the beginning of this century, which served as a community supporting artists, has now d disappeared and that young artists today are confronted by a new kind of solitude.
