Hemingway’s Self-Fabulizing
Apparently there was more to Hemingway’s published works than his novels - a new book reveals some of his “long-lost” ad copy.  Some seem to think that these personal promotions are evidence of his mental instability but I really don’t see how it’s anything more or anything different than inexpensive marketing tactics we see today. I mean, do authors promote other authors simply out of the kindness of their hearts? Well sometimes maybe yes but definitely not always. Slate posted the article on Friday, October 13/’06 .
