No apron strings attached
A book landed on my desk several days ago and I just had to flick through - after all, you don’t see books about aprons very often. The Apron Book by EllynAnne Geisel even comes in its own little protective apron and tells all about the “making, wearing and sharing” of this unsung garment. Then suddenly, it dawned on me that I had bumped into the author at Book Expo America and she had promised to mail me a copy of the book.
Of course, I thought EllynAnne was bonkers at the time. Who’d write a book about aprons? Well, what do I know? Quite a lot of folks have written about aprons - Eric Carle and then this person who also wrote this book with its amazing back-to-the-1950s cover. Good luck, EllynAnne.
