My husband and I have been married for 15 years, and, as well as I know him, it’s always been a real struggle to buy him a book that he’ll actually read and enjoy. I’ve tried and failed too many times to count. But now I have a secret weapon. It’s jmnlman, whose blog is Strategist’s Personal Library. Four times now I’ve bought a book he recommends - and four times now it’s been completely devoured cover to cover and hubby is even rereading. The latest recommendation is World History of Warfare by Holger Herwig, posted today and bought by me today. Now I’m going to see what the Herwig fans on LibraryThing are saying. This is getting easy.

thanks for your kind words I’ll be putting up a link. The one thing that drives me nuts is that I’m not sure what exactly people purchase all it tells me is the banner that was used which is not helpful.
