No good books to read?

I spotted this blog posting on The Guardian’s website this morning. A very serious looking lady is unhappy that so few good books are published in the run-up to Christmas. If things are that bad, then read a classic that slipped through the net, go back a couple of decades and pick up something you missed, or be brave and look for something from a genre you’ve never dipped into….

My library of unread books is already so large I don’t care if nothing new is published for years to come. In fact, I’ve called for a moratorium on good new work until I can catch up . . . maybe it’s taking hold!
