George Bush contributes to Kiran’s Booker win
Lots of interesting stories today but I particularly liked George Bush playing a role in Kiran Desai’s Booker Prize victory.
I also noticed someone on The Guardian saying that growing up in Thomas Hardy country can be tough. I was brought up in rural Staffordshire - a county famous for Izaak Walton’s 1653 masterpiece on fishing, The Compleat Angler - and I never found it a burden!
