Dirk Benedict’s Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy keeps on rolling
In front of me, I have a rather valuable commodity - it’s a copy of Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy by Dirk Benedict. I bought it down the road at Russell Books - one of Canada’s finest secondhand bookstores and one the first original four booksellers to sell through AbeBooks.
 
Of course, Dirk was a Celebrity Big Brother contestant throughout January in the UK and people want to read his books. I thought the demand would ease off but Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy has been on the Abebooks.co.uk bestseller list for three straight weeks now.
We also know that people are desperately searching for Dirk’s other book And Then We Went Fishing.
Confessions of a Kamikazi Cowboy is a really cancer memoir, rather than a tale of his A-Team fame, and the odd thing is that another hard-to-find cancer memoir has also started to sell in the UK.
Science fiction author Brian Aldiss’ 1999 memoir, When the Feast is Finished, came from nowhere to take the No. 1 spot on the AbeBooks.co.uk list of bestsellers for last week.
The sudden surge in popularity can be attributed to a recent appearance by Aldiss on BBC Radio Four’s Desert Island Discs. Aldiss, well known for his prolific contributions to science fiction and mainstream fiction since the 1950s, wrote the book as an account of his wife’s battle with terminal cancer.

I also would like to buy 2nd book of Dirk, “And Then We Went Fishing” too…and pretty certain that many more in the UK and out there love to read this book..BUT cannot understand why it is quite difficult to get hold of one…and YES!!..with reasonable price like Marl said…surely…if this book is such HUGE demands….there must be a printing company will be albe to re-print and sell to all Dirk’s fans around the world to read.
