The Cat in the Hat is back. Written in 1957, the book topped AbeBooks.com’s bestseller list for last week. The official celebration of the anniversary is March 2 when there’ll be events across the US with simultaneous readings. I’ve been noticing that the media has also started to pick up on the anniversary and that will build over the next two weeks. However, if you are collector and you’ll looking for an ultra-rare first edition first printing that hasn’t been mauled, chewed, torn, thrown, bent or licked by children then you can expect to pay up to $17,000 for a copy.
