Britain’s worst town calls out to poets

I’ve only been to Luton twice but I think it’s going to take a lot more than poetry to transform its image as Britain’s worst town, although it’s great place to start as long its rapidly followed by better housing, schools, employment opportunities, and vast tracts of new architecture.

Richard Davies who, by his own admission, has only been to Luton twice, thinks it will take more than poetry to transform Luton’s image. Perhaps he should consider a third visit [this time with eyes wide open and prejudices firmly in check]and get an up-date on the multi-billion investment in the town. But, more importantly, he should loiter awhile and absorb the energy of the Luton. He, like many others, may feel inspired to put pen to paper.
