Ale and crime writing

I noticed this story about a crime writing festival in Harrogate, Yorkshire this morning. It caught my because of the sponsor - Theakston’s Old Peculier. That name will have little meaning to the North American readers of this blog but it’s a famous real ale in the UK. I thought it was a great combination - in the same way I think Starbucks selling books also makes sense. What’s better than a pint and a good book?

With major names like Lee Child, CJ Sansom and Frederick Forsyth attending, the festival carries some clout. So if you’re in Yorkshire in July and love crime writing, then pop along.
