Charles Dickens Land

If the idea of a vacation to the magic kingdom and a spin on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride doesn’t quite do it for you, there is a new theme park dedicated to the works of Charles Dickens opening next month in Kent.

The park is housed in a huge warehouse which is about the size of four football pitches (soccer for us on the left side of the pond) and apparently just oozes Victorian charm with its cobbled streets, gas lamps, and pre-weathered period buildings. Opting for family fun over historical accuracy planners have left out all that nasty business about the rats and sanitation problems.
