Butter Potter
Des Moines, Iowa (the place Bill Bryson decided to leave in his 1989 book The Lost Continent) will have a Harry Potter statue made from butter at its annual Iowa State Fair. Imagine taking a huge knife, slicing off his arm and buttering up a huge hunk of bread with Harry.
I’ve gradually gone off Bryson over the years but I originally heard the The Lost Continent on BBC Radio 4 and that inspired me to buy the book.
