Garrison Keillor interview

The Pioneer Press interviews Garrison Keillor – author, broadcaster and also bookseller after opening a bricks and mortar bookshop 10 months ago in St Paul.

“The store is doing well enough, breaking even,” Keillor says. “I love having a bookstore in my neighborhood. That’s why I started it. And I thought it made sense to buy books and get the employee discount, although I’m probably losing money on that.”

Considering Keillor’s celebrity status in Minnesota (and elsewhere), you’d think the bookstore would be doing better.

His latest book is Pontoon: A Novel of Lake Wobegon.
