Phyllis Whitney dies at 104
Romantic suspense writer Phyllis Whitney died yesterday at the age of 104. Having written more then 75 books, Time magazine in 1971 called Whitney one of “the best genre writers.” Winning the Edgar Alan Poe award for “Mystery of the Haunted Pool“, The Agatha award, and
the title of Grand Master from the Mystery Writers of America’s.
Some of her most notable works were Feather on the Moon, Silversword, Flaming Tree, Dream of Orchids, Rainsong, Emerald and Daughter of the Stars.
