The Independent, for some reason, features ‘retros’ - The Joy of Sex, Ladybird Books and The Famous Five.
As a kid, I extensively read The Famous Five and also The Secret Seven before also discovering The Hardy Boys. I don’t think the experience had any lasting damage but I am never going to call my dog Timmy.
