Thomas Mann books to be returned
An interesting story from Germany….Bavaria’s state library will hand over 75 books belonging to author Thomas Mann that were stolen by the Nazis. Mann, an anti-Nazi writer, is famous for penning Buddenbrooks and Death in Venice. He fled from Germany in 1933 and moved to Switzerland. His family managed to ship half of his library across the Alps but not all of them.
