Maps and Legends by Chabon is fantastic. 75% of the reason I bought it is for the design of the triple dustjacket. Just fabulous.
I agree. When I saw it in the bookstore it stopped me in my tracks. I think his Yiddish Policemen’s Union cover is especially gorgeous, too. In fact, I bought that one as much because of the cover as the fact that I’d read (and loved) The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. And it didn’t disappoint.
Maybe there’s something to this judging a book by its cover!
That Cover + That Title = I will read (Corpse Delivery Service).
Check out a book named Dead Boys. I loved that cover. I don’t know what it is about it that really did it for me.
also look at that poor doggy. SCHMOOPY WHOOP
Murakami definitely did not meet the expectations that the cover gave me. But that’s the only time really…Also, Penguin seems to always have the best covers. Anyone else agree?
