AbeBooks.com has sponsored the BC Book Prizes for a number of years now and I’ve been lucky enough to attend two of the events in Vancouver. Lots of smartly dressed publishers and writers from our neck of the woods here in British Columbia, Canada.

This year, the folks at the Prizes have supplied 10 excellent books – all past winners or finalists – for a contest. One winner will receive The Laughing One: A Journey into Emily Carr by Susan Crean, The Day It All Blew Away by Lisa Cinar, The Last Wild Wolves by Ian McAllister, The Mummy Congress by Heather Pringle, and The Master Plan by Heather Pringle – all hardcovers – and What It Takes To Be Human by Marilyn Bowering, Home Schooling by Carol Windley, Ox by Christopher Patton, The Corps of the Bare-Boned Plane by Polly Horvath, and Adam’s Peak by Heather Burt – all softcovers. That’s $268 worth of literature. Three examples of non-fiction, a photography book, a book of poetry, a children’s picture book, three novels and one collection of stories.

Good luck – enter here. It’s easy. This contest is for residents of USA and Canada. This year’s BC Book Prizes takes place in Vancouver on April 25.
