A non-fiction look at rabbits as pets, pests, prey, and a mythic figure-in history. The book looks at things like the fact that the rabbit is one of the few animals that westerners use as both a pet and a food source.

Its hard for a rabbit to look at you disapprovingly but they’ve managed. In the spirit of the Lol Cats, and funny animal photos everywhere this book may not stimulate the mind but will at least get a few smiles.

A 26 year old basketball player, not a furry big eared mammal however non-the-less famous. Updikes most memorable character, and the man had a lot, was not contained to this single novel but was spread to include Rabit Redux, Rabbit is Rich, Rabbit at Rest and Rabbit Remembered.

Margery Williams’s treasured childhood classic tells how a toy rabbit learns what it means to be loved by a child–and how toys become “Real.” The story was first published in 1922, and has since been republished umteen times with varous cover art. I prefer the earlier illustrations as this was one of my favourite stories as a child.
