2009 Global Action Week Theme: Literacy
Today marks the start of Global Action Week and this year’s theme is literacy. The campaign is focusing on the importance of ensuring everyone has the opportunity for quality education and the benefits of literacy, highlighted by The Big Read.
The Guardian is bringing awareness to Global Action Week with a cool slideshow showing a women’s literacy class in Afghanistan.
