But it’s not written by JD Salinger. The Guardian reports that the book is the debut offering from John David California who is undaunted by the fact that Salinger never gave him permission for the sequel and has blocked all attempts to publish his writings since 1965 and avoided all media contact.
California’s book is called 60 Years Later: Coming Through the Rye and features an elderly Holden Caulfield fleeing a nursing home to journey, once again, though the streets of New York.
