Disorderly conduct charges dropped against author Henry Louis Gates Jr.

In a statement issued by the city and Cambridge police, the July 16 arrest of author and Harvard University professor, Henry Louis Gates Jr. is described as “regrettable and unfortunate”. The Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office has also announced that they will not be pursuing the charges against Gates.
