Happy Birthday, Doc!


Today marks 69 years since Bugs Bunny first appeared on the screen. His first credited role was in “A Wild Hare” (below):

I remember Elmer Fudd being bumbling, but was he originally supposed to be a drunk?? That’s a pretty red nose.

As a child, I was crazy about Bugs Bunny, especially when he and Daffy Duck would get into feverish piano playing contests, or Bugs would dress up like a woman and sing opera.

We have plenty of collectible Bugs Bunny books on the site, all about the wascally wabbits, his adventures and exploits. Pick one up for your kids – it’s a darn sight better than the teletubbies!
