Rush Limbaugh Word Association

As part of an interview with him on the Today show this morning, right-wing political commentator Rush Limbaugh was asked to play a round of Word Association, and agreed.

When presented with “Hillary Clinton”, he immediately responded with “Nurse Ratchet” (not sure if the error is Limbaugh’s or other, but the actual name is Nurse Ratched). For those unaware, Nurse Ratched is the terrifying, unsympathetic, icy-hearted villain of a nurse in Ken Kesey‘s classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. When we ran a poll on the scariest characters in literature, Nurse Ratched clocked in at number four.

Limbaugh’s other responses included:

President Obama: “Disaster”

Michelle Obama: “Garden. Plants a garden out there.”

Former President Jimmy Carter: “An utter disgrace and embarrassment.”

Sarah Palin: “Misunderstood and underestimated.”

Former President Bush: “Most decent, down-to-earth real man you’d ever hope to meet.”

Glenn Beck: “Look what I have spawned. Glenn Beck to me is ‘Right on, Daddy-O.’ ”

I don’t know why he couldn’t have shortened his Sarah Palin answer to simply “misunderestimated”. We’d all have understood, Rush.
