Anne of Green Gables On the Block

Further to Kathleen’s post about the rare Edgar Allan Poe book up for auction, here’s some more news from the bidding block: Sotheby’s is planning to auction a scarce first-run edition of the Canadian classic Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery on December 11th. A copy of the same edition, in poorer condition, sold for $24,000 in 2005. This copy is expected to fetch up to $25,000.
