Women of Pulp: Blonde, Buxom & Dangerous

make-mine-a-harlotMy favourite kind of women are…..The Women of Pulp. They can’t be tamed, they cannot be trusted. Blondes, brunettes, redheads – we have got the lot. There are voluptuous vixens, dangerous dames, and buxom bombshells. They really don’t publish books like these any more.

I love this selection of pulp fiction put together by my colleague Beth. I could hear her chuckling to herself as she selected the books.

  1. I agree, – a good Pulp book must have women in abundance, – all with outrageous names, outrageous habits and a weakness for steely-eyed heroes.
I write Pulp books; my new book is now completed and has just been published. It is called “Come Here…and I’ll Show You” and is available on Bangkok Book House, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Google Books. It is being issued first as an e-book.

The book follows the best traditions of the ‘Pulp novels’ by Mickey Spillane. The similes and metaphors are outrageous; the language is clipped and colloquial. The men are men and the women are damn glad of it. Needless to say, the women are fast and dangerous, and the hero is a two-fisted man of action.

The book is aimed at the adult male market; the book provides a means for males to escape to some harmless, male orientated entertainment without being made to feel guilty about doing so.

Come Here… and I’ll Show You” is an adventure-thriller. It is not graphic. It is often amusing, often surprising and always entertaining. The action takes place in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.

At the risk of sounding corny, I would describe the book as a ‘rattling good read for real men.’

    Have fun !
