Aminata Forna wins Commonwealth Prize


Aminatta Forna’s novel The Memory of Love has won best book at the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize awards held over the weekend in Australia. Forna was born in Glasgow but also spent some of her childhood in Sierra Leone. Her book, which is also shortlisted for the Orange Prize, is set in the war-torn West African nation. She wins £10,000.
