Have you heard of Creative Non-Fiction? No, we’re not talking about James Frey and his Million Little Pieces…this is an actual genre.
Creative non-fiction is rather difficult to define but it’s receiving plenty of attention. Employing styles and techniques usually found in novels, a number of writers are producing very readable memoirs, travel books, biographies and humor. Take the true, add the flair of the funny, the dramatic and the storytelling techniques….you get the idea.
This genre may be young but it has a rich heritage dating back to On The Road and In Cold Blood.
