Awesome Ukulele, Awesome Kids – A Video to Help a Library

I just love this video. The Shutesbury Public Library in Shutesbury Massachusetts has no running water, very little space, a composting toilet, and a huge desire to survive, thrive, expand and help keep the town reading.

The state has promised 2.1 million dollars toward the project, if friends of the library can raise 1.4 million on their own by June 30th. They’ve made this inspiring, sweet and musical video called Where Would You Be without Your Library? (the song is playing merrily in my head, still) in the hopes of reaching their goal. Donations can be made at www.mnspear.org if you’re interested. I hope they meet their goal, but either way, they should be very proud of their creative efforts.
