Edith Wharton was a woman of many talents. She produced memorable novels, dozens of short stories and some pioneering travel writing. She also penned landmark books about landscape gardening and interior design.

Born into America’s elite society, Wharton’s world provided wonderful material for her novels but this Pulitzer Prize-winning author loved nothing more than working in her garden.
