Which book would you pass on to your children?
The University of Worcester recently published a survey where they asked 2,000 adults to choose the one most important book to pass on to their children? It’s a tough and incredible vague question? Is this the only book they will ever be able to read? Or is this merely the book I think they will find the most enjoyable? Also how old are they at the time I’m giving them the book? I think I might choose a Roald Dahl book, either James and the Giant Peach or the Fantastic Mr. Fox which were both childhood favorites for me.
Except for the inclusion of the Harry Potter series, which I didn’t think would rate as highly against the myriad of nostalgia favorites, the list was fairly predictable being topped by A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (which was chosen by 19% of respondents). What book would you choose?
