Those are some of the six-word summations of love and romance from the new book Six-Word Memoirs on Love and Heartbreak by Writers Famous and Obscure. Each contributor was asked to encapsulate their current feelings on love, romance and relationships into a challengingly succinct six words. Ranging from sweet and loving to bitter and heartbreaking to snortingly funny, each entry is thoughtful and unique.
It made me think what mine would be. On my marriage? “Never suspected he’d re-use dental floss.” On an ill-advised and disastrous relationship? “Night terrors should be mentioned immediately.” On my first real crush, age 10? “He trapped me in his hammock.”
and now? Maybe… “Home is where I’m laughing hardest.”
