There is a split in the gutter at the front cover; the netting is visible, but it too holds tight. The front cover is clean with bright gilt print. There are some small areas on the back cover where the top dark brown layer has come off. There is a tear at the top of the spine on the front cover side. There are lighter spots on the spine. The book is fair plus.
