Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Revised Edition. REVISED EDITION, 1833. Hardcover. Bound in full light brown, sheepskin leather. Covers are plain. Spine bears a darker brown leather label, stamped in gilt lettering and gilt bands. Edges are sprinkled in dark brown ink. Contains a preface to the first edition, an advertisement to the second edition, and a summary of Roman Antiquities. Also contains a Latin index of words and phrases, and an index of proper names and things. viii, 508 pp. CONTITION: Overall VG. External cover shows some wear, particularly along the corners and edges. Inner hinges are starting, yet boards are firmly attached and the binding is tight. Some foxing throughout, yet pages are completely unmarked, except for a previous owners annotation on the front pastedown in period ink, and a previous owner's name written in pencil on the front flyleaf. Text is dark and very legible. Pagination is complete. A very nice copy, especially for its age. Full refund if not satisfied.

Signed by Bernarda Shahn in ink on the bookplate and title page, with an additional short note in her hand on the title page.
