Book Signed
Soft cover. Condition: As New. Limited Edition. Possibly the only copy SIGNED by the artist, John Vernon Lord. This charming edition was limited to only 300 copies. The copies are not numbered. This story was erroneously attributed to Olive Cook when it was found by Phiippa Pearce among her papers following her death. Dennis Hall of the Inky Parrot Press had been awaiting a short story from Olive Cook and it was assumed that this was it. When copies were distributed at Olive Cook's memorial service it was recognised by Mark Haworth-Booth as a story written by his daughter, Emily Haworth-Booth, who had sent it to Olive Cook for comment. It appears in the Varsity/Cherwell May Anthology for 2001. A very nice copy with wonderful illustrations by John Vernon Lord, who has signed on the title page. The explanatory note about the edition is enclosed as a rare insert. RARE SMALL PRESS EDITION. Signed by Illustrator.
