Text in Latin and Hebrew. Contemporary calf, spine gilt with morocco lettering label, marbled endpapers, edges red; (marginal paper repairs to 7 leaves, early ownership inscriptions on f.f.e.p.; joints split, extremities rubbed). First Edition. Bythner, Hebrew grammarian and university teacher at Oxford was of Polish descent. He lectured on Hebrew in the great refectory at Christ Church before the outbreak of the civil war.
