Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Octavo. Three titles bound in one volume. 149; 125; 115 pages. Hardcover nicely bound in three quarter black morocco leather with green cloth boards in a modern removable mylar jacket. Raised bands on the spine. Top edge gilt. There is light wear to the binding, which is a little bumped at the edges. The text is toned but clean and sound. Three separately published titles bound in one volume (bound in the order of No. 3; No. 2; and No. 1). Original wrappers bound in on the second two titles. As a special note, the "Race Elements in the White Population of North Carolina" does NOT pertain to black and whites (or slaves) but to divisions within the white race, specifically the English in North Carolina, the Highland Scotch, the Scotch-Irish, and the Germans in North Carolina. The three lectures bound into this volume were part of a 5 lecture series held at the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College for Women (now UNCG) held in Greensboro, North Carolina. Scarce to find three of the lectures bound together and in such a superb leather binding.
