Condition: VERY GOOD. 1877. RARE. Original binding. Brown cloth hardcover with decorative black and gilt stamping. No DJ. Frontispiece. 528pp. Taken verbatim and then revised by the Boston Globe. Controversial. Moody (1837-1899) was one of the great evangelists of the 19th century. Theologically he espoused an Arminian perspectve in his campaigns that accelerated the drift toward wide-ranging broad-mindedness in the evangelical movement. Nevertheless he is of great historical importance. VERY GOOD. Textblock appears clean. Binding sound. Previous owner's name. Covers bright.
