It states that "Accompanying this edition, there is a small Book of Historical Questions, for the use of schools; also, for the convenience of Teachers, a Key, containing the Answers." NOTE: This is a seperate book and in this case does not accompany the book herein mentioned. Grimshaw provides his corrections to Goldsmith's history, noting that Goldsmith as an Historian failed miserably. Full-leather, outer hinges are split but still bound tightly, 4 spine bands with a black leather title label in the second compartment (total of 5 compartments), 322 pp. includes the 4 pages of vocabulary mentioned earlier. Very light intermitent foxing otherwise complete and tight.

However, the binding is tight and the book seems to be complete. Quarter bound in leather with marbled paper boards, the book has scuffed and rounded corners and two sections of loss on the spine, each about 1 1/2" The paper is toned with some foxing and staining especially along the edges, but the paper is still fairly supple. The gilt title and decorations on the spine are bright. Hinges may have been reinforced. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 265. 6 ads pages; Famous abridged version of Oliver Goldsmith's Roman history which he prepared as a school text. This is a copy of the relatively scarce edition published in Dublin. It includes exercises at the end of each section.
