Pages are bright and clear with light foxing, thumb marking and tanning to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with noticeable sunning, water staining and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier sunning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. 1st edition. 40pp, (5 x 8.25 inches). Very Good in wrappers (soft cover). The word "art" is noted neatly on the cover, upper corners of cover, front and back, creased. Otherwise clean, crisp, tight, no other creases or markings, no bumps or tears. Printed at the Southworth Press, Portland ME. Laid in is a printed paper, about the same size as the book, written by Henry Osborn Taylor, dated 1939. Taylor explains that this is a lecture given by his brother-in-law [at Columbia University in 1907]. Mr. Taylor's wife, Isham's sister, had this book printed after Isham's death, and Mr.Taylor is sending this copy as a gift to the previous owner.
