Black grained leather boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Clean Internals. Interior hinges are sound and not split. Black endpapers. 550 pp (497 pp + 53 pp) 8vo. 100+ Polychrome, monochrome, and pen and ink drawings illustrate the Life of Christ. The aim of this book is to tell the story of Jesus Christ in a manner that will be attractive to the young and old, to children and their teachers but not childish but simple to keep it interesting. No imaginary scenes or conversations have been introduced. The order of events follows the four gospels and their contents raising no questions concerning miracles or the relative values of different portions of the record. A clean very presentable copy.
