Hard Cover. Condition: with no dust jacket. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Illustrated by Anderson, Anne; Wellman, Maurieta (illustrator). Fair; 123 pages. 7 color plates (one is torn) plus b/w illustrations. Interior hinges are split. Pages are yellowed, smudged, soiled, and torn. Color graphic on paper covers boards. Edges and corners are rubbed and frayed. Spine has been covered with black library tape. Boards are scuffed, scratched, and scribbled upon. ; Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Good/Very Good. 14" x 10.5", 123pp. Solid First printing of this edition. Likely an update of Whitman's "100 Best known Fairy Tales" published in 1933. Bound in illustrated paper-covered boards with 1/4 black cloth. Square and solid. Wear to edges and tips. Surface wear. Pages toning and foxing to endpapers and paste-downs. Front hinge cracked but quite firm. A few tiny tears to spine cloth. Illustrated by Anne Anderson and Maurieta Wellman. Not perfect but still bright and pleasing, a great price and uncommon in any condition.

Condition: Very Good. 1937 Whitman 1st edition, VG/Good DJ in Mylar, dustjacket has haevy wear at edges, small pieces missing at spine ends & corners, short tears, in Mylat, book has lighter wear at corners and top/bottom edges, sewn binding is sound, no markings found, textblock is evenly tanned- pages read fine and in nice shape.
