Fresh black cloth binding, title embossed on cover and in gilt on the spine. Unclipped VG jacket, with a minor chip at top edge, and old fold line down the front flap. The author knew the playwright and had full access to his papers, for her book which was 10 years in the making. Odets lived till 1963, but the author here tracks his career only thru 1940 and the Group Theatre, after which he published little and was hounded by those who were politically and personally opposed to him. Very good condition in very good dust jacket.
